OBERNAI is the emblematic collection of the Sarreguemines faience factory. When this factory disappeared, the Luneville-St-Clément factories continued to produce it.
It is the work of Henri Loux, a draughtsman and watercolourist from the late 19th century. He depicted traditional scenes from the Alsace of his time. Using the beautiful colours of this region, H. Loux conveys the joie de vivre of its inhabitants on his elaborate earthenware.
