Longchamp compotier, Terre de Fer, CLETA model. The designs are light green.

The Longchamp earthenware factory was bought in 1868 by the brothers Marcel and Robert Charbonnier.

to Mr Phal-Blando who then operated a tile factory and a small earthenware factory.

From 1878, the Charbonnier brothers focused on production, modern at the time,

of fine, white ceramics called “iron earth” or “opaque porcelain”.

This fruit bowl is nicely decorated even underneath!
