Colette is a 1930s Art Nouveau/Deco chest of drawers. It came from Saint Maximin La Sainte Baume, located in Provence Verte, in the Var department. It had been sleeping at the back of a shed, behind a mound of furniture of all styles. It was its mirror and its stand that caught my eye.
Slightly rounded on the front, its drawers offer a typical ornamentation of the period.
After many hours of work to restore it, here it is adorned with its travertine, which shows small signs of age but is still as beautiful as ever. Its mercury mirror is beveled. It also bears traces of age (small stains in its silver that add to its charm).
The rose-shaped handles are made of solid brass.
The interior of the drawers has been discreetly personalized.
