I present to you Charles, an Art Deco-style sideboard/chest of drawers from the 1930s. It belonged to Father François. It comes from Saint-Anastasie-sur-Issole.
The scars of time are sometimes marks that must be accepted, especially when the piece of furniture is still functional, beautiful, and rare.
In all transparency, here are its particularities:
It is made of solid oak. The floral ornament on each door is in relief. It was stained lighter than the rest of the piece. When it was renovated, I intentionally left this color, gently highlighting the work on each door.
Its top was oak veneer and covered with a glass pane that unfortunately cracked. The veneer was peeling. There was no other solution but to remove it and paint the top.
One of the rear legs was reinforced at the time. The work carried out allowed it to arrive in 2025. I therefore left it as is because it in no way affected its stability. Some interior elements were painted in Libéron Feather White.

Wood: Oak
Finish: Libéron Feather White paint, varnish
